High-quality needles that reduce discomfort during injections.
Designed to be used together with injection devices (pens) for administration of medicines. Needles are disposable, sterile, non-toxic, do not contain pyrogens or latex.
Insupen needles are triple sharpened and ground in three sections, which reduces friction when making injections. In addition, in order to facilitate penetration of the skin during puncture, they were covered with silicone. In contrast, the thin profile reduces the feeling of discomfort. The needle tip has been specially treated so that it pierces the insulin container in a way that prevents contamination of the medicine

The thickness of the dermis is associated with BMI, age, gender and ethnicity and ranges from 2 to 2,5 mm.
Insulin injections should be made into the subcutaneous fat tissue. Intramuscular injections should be avoided as this may lead to faster absorption of insulin and to hypoglycaemia.
The needle with a length of 4 mm is long enough to enter the subcutaneous fat tissue, so there is little risk of making an injection intramuscularly.
Therefore, a 4 mm needle is considered the safest needle for adults and children regardless of age, gender, ethnicity and BMI.
- A needle with a length of 4 mm should be inserted perpendicular to the skin.
- Very young children (up to 6 years of age) and very slim adults should lift a skin fold.
- Patients with seizures or other disorders that make them unable to hold the pen in place may need longer needles.
- Children who use a 5 mm pen needle should also lift the skin fold.
The outer diameter of the needle is referred to by the letter G from the word Gauge. The higher the G marking, i.e. the higher the number, the thinner the needle.
