Substral Polysect Long Acting is an insecticide, in the form of a ready-to-use product, with contact and stomach effects. Agent for use in amateur cultivation of ornamental plants in apartments and ornamental plants in home gardens and recreational plots, grown in open area (in the ground) and some vegetable plants grown under cover (greenhouses, tunnels). Effective on: aphids, greenhouse whiteflies, woolworms, spider mites, caterpillars and other sucking insects.

On the plant, it acts surface, deep and systematically. Systemic action means that the agent is quickly taken up by the green parts of the plants and moved with juices around the plant, which causes the suction pests to die even if they have not been directly sprayed.

SUBSTRAL POLYSECT 005 SL HAS A DUAL ACTION:

1. Preventive when insects have not yet appeared on the plant. Then the systemic action protects it from pests for up to 21 days.
2. Contact when insects have already appeared on the plant. The contact effect of the preparation is that after its application, the insects present on the plant will be neutralized. Remember, however, that in addition the preparation will penetrate the plant and its juices and protect it from the raid of new pests.

DATE OF APPLICATION:

• spray after the appearance of the first signs of the presence of pests. If necessary, spraying can be repeated 14 days after the first treatment for ornamental plants and 10 days after vegetable plants,
• outdoor the agent can be used from April to the end of September, indoors throughout the year.

DOSAGE:

• spray the plants so that the usable liquid thoroughly covers the upper and lower parts of the leaves, avoiding droplets,
• be careful that the spray nozzle is directed towards the plant and not towards the user or bystanders.

Symptoms: In April and May, adult beetles appear, which bite holes in the leaf of the lily. After the feeding period, they lay eggs in deposits on the leaves. Hatching larvae usually feed on the underside of the leaves. Young larvae bite small holes. The larvae bite the leaves by locating themselves on their tops and gradually eating the whole leaf from the top to the root. After turning the damaged leaf, larvae are visible, covered with sticky, shiny mucus and feces. After a period of foraging, the larvae descend into the soil for pupae in pupae. During the season, 2 generations of pests develop. They winter adult beetles in the soil.

Pest appearance: Violin beetles have an intense orange body 6-8 mm in size. Only the head and feet are black. The larvae grow up to 8-10 mm, orange-red with black discs on the abdomen. The body of the larvae is usually covered with sticky, shiny mucus and feces.

The larvae of the bowlers come out of the wintering places in spring and head for the youngest shoots. There they begin feeding by driving a and stationary, staying in this place for the rest of their lives. Then the shield of female bowlers grows, gradually hardens and browns. This is the most characteristic symptom of feeding this pest. Shoots are covered with a large number of brown, convex cups. As a result of the reset of the bowls, the needles turn yellow, brown, and may even fall off. Females, after fertilization, lay 1000-1500 eggs under their shield, after which they die. After some time, larvae hatch from the eggs, which at the end of the season feed for some time, and then go to wintering in the nooks and crannies of the bark. The bowls suck out plant juices, which leads to weakening of the plant. In the case of young plants, they may die. However, if older plants are attacked, the yield and frost resistance of plants are reduced.

Small insects reaching several millimeters in length, belonging to the group of maggots. Wools appearing on potted plants are one of the most dangerous plant pests. Their presence is manifested, among others, by yellowing of the leaves, their falling and inhibition of plant growth. In appearance, they resemble small shreds of cotton wool. Most often they can be found on the leaves and shoots of plants, especially orchids and cacti.

Fighting this pest can be very difficult, we recommend our preparations for this purpose: Polysect 005 SL and Multiinsect, which in most cases will cope with this difficult opponent.

The most common pest on plants. Regardless of the multiplicity, any plant can be attacked by them. There are many species of aphids. Some are specific to only one type of plant. An example is the black aphid. It has a black body about 2mm long. It reaches its highest activity at the turn of May and June. Outside of this group, there are aphids attacking a wide variety of plants. One of them is a streak aphid, attacking perennials. It feeds mainly on the lower side of the leaves and inflorescence shoots. Aphids feed on juice sucked from plants, weakening and delaying their growth and carrying diseases.

In the event that your plant has been attacked by a small amount of aphids, you can help it by wiping the leaves with a damp cloth, or by crushing insects. Most often, however, we are not able to get rid of pests by home methods. The best solution is to use Polysect 005 SL.

Small red spider veins are very dangerous pests of many garden and balcony plants. When a delicate cobweb appears on the plant, it is a sign that pests have already appeared a lot. It is important to detect their presence as soon as possible – each one adult spring can lay several thousand eggs – too late reaction will cause the leaves to wither and fall off prematurely. During the season, it is worth doing a review of the leaves every few days.

White flies are one of the most common pests on our plants. You can find them in our gardens from May to August. The development of whiteflies is facilitated by heat and dry air.

They especially liked feeding on tomatoes, pumpkins and all kinds of weeds and herbs. The size of mature whitefly reaches up to 1,5 mm in length. They are low-moving insects with three pairs of legs, oval and flattened with a yellow-green color. Whiteflies feed on juice sucked from the leaves, so that at the beginning of their occurrence you can notice yellowish spots on them. At a later stage of the pest’s control of the plant, its entire leaf plaques turn yellow, dry and then fall. As a result of their activity, the growth of the plant is weakened. The mass appearance of this pest can eventually lead to the dying of the plant. Their rapid detection is the key to success.
