The Orion-Tr Smart DC-DC Charger is a professional, adaptive, 3-degree DC to DC charger with built-in Bluetooth chip.
It is designed for use in dual battery systems in vehicles or boats where the main battery is charged by a (smart) alternator and starter battery. The device can be monitored and programmed via Bluetooth, can be remotely controlled by a remote on/off switch, and is equipped with a motor detection mechanism.
The Orion-Tr Smart charger can be used in 12V or 24V installations, and is suitable for both lead-acid and lithium batteries. Models with a power of up to 400W are available, and in order to increase the output power, an unlimited number of devices can be connected in parallel.
It can operate at temperatures as low as 55°C and maintains full nominal power at temperatures up to 40°C.

With Bluetooth Smart support
You can use any Bluetooth-enabled smartphone, tablet or other Bluetooth-enabled device to monitor, change settings and update the charger when new software features are available.

Adaptive 3-degree charging algorithm: bulk - absorption - float
- For lead-acid batteries, it is important that during shallow discharges the absorption time is short to prevent the battery from overcharging. After deep discharge, the absorption time is automatically extended to make sure the battery is fully charged again.
- For lithium batteries, the absorption time is constant, 2 hours by default.
- Alternatively, a constant output voltage can be selected.
Suitable for use in vehicles with intelligent alternator (with Euro 5 and Euro 6 engines)
The built-in motor shutdown detection system turns off the inverter when the engine is not running. This prevents the starter battery from being discharged (details in the user manual).
Remote on/off
The remote on/off switch or relay contact can be connected to a bipolar connector. Alternatively, the H (right) terminal of the bipolar connector can be switched to the plus of the battery or the L (left) terminal of the bipolar connector can be switched to the minus of the battery (or, for example, the chassis of the vehicle).
