Arm TP120

The turntable has a newly developed TP120 arm, which uses modern bearing. This reduced the coefficient of friction to a minimum. The TP120 arm is in practice a 9-inch "J" type design with an effective weight of 15 g. Similarity to other Thorens phono arms, such as the TP150 or TP124, is not a coincidence, but an additional confirmation that we are dealing with a high-end design.

Detachable headshell

The TD 204 has a detachable headshell (with SME connector) and Audio-Technica AT95E cartridge, so it comes from a Japanese specialist in the production of audio components. Moreover, the skating compensation in this vinyl record player was realized with a spring.

RCA output and preamplifier

The rear panel of the turntable is equipped with high-quality RCA analog connectors. In practice, it is an audio output for connecting the TD 204 model to an external amplifier or receiver. The turntable also has an integrated MM preamplifier (English). Moving Magnet). Sturdy construction

The turntable is equipped with a massive plate made of die-cast aluminum. It is set in motion using a quiet engine and a smooth-running drive belt. Thanks to two high-gloss versions – black (Black High Gloss) and walnut (Walnut High Gloss) – the TD 204 fits perfectly into the Thorens product range.
