Three-way system

In this price class, a real luxury: a three-way system. Two woofers with light and stable Kevlar membranes produce deep bass also without a subwoofer. Medium- and tweeter drivers guarantee detailed reproduction of voices and instruments, and thus an almost tangible music scene. The Klippel measuring technique makes the Theater perfect: Even the smallest shortcomings in the course of membrane vibration will be detected and removed.

Time Alignment technology from Teufel

The specifically recessed tweeter Theater 500 corrects differences in propagation time and provides a well-built sound. Vocals, instruments and sound effects will be played cleanly and naturally. Just like during a concert, you will be able to recognize and locate the positions of individual instruments and vocalists.

Constant DirectivityConcept

The completely newly formed Waveguide and Phase Plug guarantee wide and even sound dispersion (light gray area). Advantage for you: In every position in the room, you listen to the same sound with equally good speech understanding and location.

Innovative damping chamber

Inside the Theater 500 there is a damping chamber (grey rectangle) built according to the principles of the Helmholtz resonance box, which takes care of the right sound. In this way, standing waves and resonances in the housing can be effectively minimized. The volume of bass reflex did not have to be further muffled, leading to lower limit frequency and higher bass efficiency. The result is a balanced soundstage at all volume levels. Other speakers sometimes sound good at only one volume, while at another, playback is distorted. Theater 500 always produces the same great sound.

Downfiring bass reflex system

Theater 500 has a bass reflex system that sends a signal down. This allows you to position the system close to the wall or anywhere in the room, and the soundstage will remain unchanged. The extremely large bass reflex channel prevents noise at high volume levels.
