This makes it the only device on the market that allows for blood ketone level measurement using B-Ketone test strips, in addition to traditional invasive blood glucose measurement.

Freestyle Libre reader - scanner - is a small (9.5x6 cm) electronic device with a color touchscreen. It has memory to store and analyze data for up to 90 days. It takes just 1 second to display the current glucose level and a trend arrow indicating glucose changes. Readings should be taken at least once every eight hours to generate an eight-hour glycemic chart. The wireless reader has a durable battery (recharging about once a week) and reads data from up to 4 cm away. Its screen displays easy-to-understand graphs with a brief summary of glucose history.

Freestyle Libre reader - Scanner - not only shows complete data and performs analysis in real-time. Data can also be transferred to a computer by downloading software from the manufacturer's website.
