Properties of Contour Plus glucose meter strips

Thanks to the “Sip-in” technology used in the product, it is more likely to take a sufficiently large blood sample at the first . However, if necessary, a second sample is taken. The result of the measurement is obtained after 5 seconds. The correct result requires a small blood sample. It is only 0.6 μl. Blood samples can be taken not only from the fingertip of the hand, but e.g. also with:

• earlobe,
• withers of the thumb,
• forearm,
• thighs.

The accuracy of the measurement results using Contour Plus strips is similar to laboratory. The "No Coding" technology ensures that the strap encodes itself when inserted into the glucose meter. This reduces the risk of errors in the reading. Contour Plus strips also minimize the impact of popular drug ingredients, paracetamol and ascorbic acid, on the measurement result.

Action

Contour Plus test strips are used to independently perform tests by people with diabetes and by medical staff to monitor whole blood glucose levels. The Contour Plus test strip is designed for use with all Contour Plus glucose meters. The test provides quantitative glucose measurement for all Contour Plus glucose meters.

FAD glucose dehydrogenase (Aspergillus sp., 4,0 U/test strip) 21%; carrier 54%; non-reactive components 25%

Warnings

If your blood glucose is below 50 mg/dL on the glucose meter display, contact your doctor immediately.

If your blood glucose is above 250 mg/dL on the glucose meter display, contact your doctor as soon as possible.

Always consult your doctor before making changes to the dosage of medicines based on the results from the CONTOUR PLUS glucose meter.

The strips should only be stored in the original bottle. Always close the cover tightly as soon as you remove the test strip.

Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before using the test strips.

Test strips should not be used after the expiry date. The expiry date is on the bottle label and on the carton of the test strips.

If the blood glucose meter and/or test strips are transferred to a room at a different temperature, wait 20 minutes for the devices to adjust to the new temperature before testing. The instruction manual gives the correct temperature range at which the CONTOUR PLUS glucose meter can be used.

The test strips are for single use only. Test strips should not be reused.

After opening the carton of the test strips, make sure that the lid of the bottle with the strips is tightly closed. If the lid is not closed, the test strips should not be used to perform tests.

The product should be used for its intended purpose.
