Iron and folic acid work synergistically. Together, they contribute to the proper course of hematopoietic processes: the production of red blood cells and hemoglobin, the proper transport of oxygen in the body, the proper functioning of the immune system.
Why iron and folic acid as chelates?
Iron (ferrous diglycinate) in organic, chelated form is characterized by higher bioavailability than other (inorganic) forms of iron supplements. Chelated iron is usually very well tolerated by human organisms. Supplementation with commonly available iron preparations often results in unwanted constipation, which is rare when taking chelated iron. Folic acid is also known as vitamin B9. Synthetic folic acid has no biological activity. Biologically active are its metabolites, called folates, formed as a result of enzymatic transformations in the liver.
NaturLabs contains folic acid in the form of active folate - Quatrefolic®.
It is the most effective form of active folic acid, which (compared to the synthetic form) is characterized by high stability and good solubility in water. The body can use it directly, also in the bodies of people with a defect in folic acid metabolism (so-called. MTHFR gene mutation).
Why chelated preparations?
Most of the available vitamin-mineral supplements are not sufficiently absorbed by the body. Thus, only a small percentage of the active substance reaches its destination and has the expected therapeutic effect. The chelated form of minerals increases their bioavailability in relation to inorganic forms. This allows us to reap more benefits from targeted supplementation.
In addition, chelated minerals (unlike ordinary forms of minerals) do not irritate the stomach and intestinal mucosa.
Ingredients: iron (iron diglycinate), QuatrefolicTM folic acid (glucosamine salt (6S)-5-methyltetrahydropholic acid), HPMC plant capsule (hydroxypropylcellulose).
Use: take 1 capsules once a day, after a meal, with plenty of water. Do not exceed the recommended portion for consumption during the day.
