Sailing safety vest Tribord BA 50 N Club

This safety vest was created for course participants and instructors, sailing on small sailboats / catamarans and for windsurfing. This compact 50 N vest provides great freedom of movement. Anatomical cut adapts to any body structure, guaranteeing maximum safety during sailing.

18 months were needed to create this safety vest. We have designed a 50 N vest aimed at sailing clubs with regard to the limitations associated with intensive use and the creation of a lightweight, compact and robust product. The French Sailing Federation (FFV) and 3 partner clubs supported us with their experience to design a product suitable for everyone, from beginner to participant of the regatta, not forgetting about instructors.

The short cut of the vest and its construction with several panels of polyethylene foam provide very little weight so that the vest does not limit the freedom of sailing. The plastic buckles (placed on each side of the vest) are designed so that they can be replaced if needed. The crotch strap (which is missing from the black vest) allows instructors and caregivers of sailing clubs to equip their clubs with this vest.

Thanks to Dope-dyed technology (fabric made of fibers dyed in the mass, which allows to significantly reduce water consumption during yarn production) and bicolor fabric technology (made from partially dyed fibers), we were able to reduce CO₂ emissions associated with the production of this new vest by 20% compared to the old version.

A belt loop is sewn on the left shoulder of the vest to attach the walkie-talkie. This option is useful for instructors or when sailing a motorboat.
