Chlorine is a natural component of our environment. In terms of prevalence, it has a strong position ranking in the top twenty of over a hundred elements known to us. Chloride ions are ok. 1,9% of the mass of all oceans (in the case of the Dead Sea it is approx. 21%). In the human body weighing 70 kg there is about 95 g of chlorine.
It is used in the production cycle of plant protection products, in the pharmaceutical industry, in water treatment processes, etc.
However, it should be remembered that in the swimming pool – in an environment with an increased content of chloride ions, we can observe limited resistance of objects in their field of action.
On objects such as poured (sprayed, rinsed) or on which only water condenses, the concentration of chlorides gradually increases, which settle, dry out and accumulate, and eventually can even lead to complete destruction of the object.
