High Fructose Gel provides 30 g of carbohydrates per gel, derived from maltodextrin and fructose, in a ratio of 10:8. Maltodextrin

  • It is absorbed in the intestine by the SLGT-1 transporter and converted into glucose to reach the cells and immediately provide them with energy.
  • It has a high glycemic index, causes a rapid increase in blood sugar levels and immediate release of energy.
  • Thanks to its high molecular weight and low osmolarity, emptying the stomach is rapid, which promotes digestion and reduces secondary effects in the digestive tract.

Fructose

  • Absorbed fructose is taken in the intestine using GLUT5 transporters, which are different from those that absorb other carbohydrates. Once absorbed, fructose reaches the liver via GLUT2 transporters, where it replenishes liver glycogen stores, which decrease during intense physical activity.
