How to use:

Press the on/off button next to the LCD display. There will be an audible signal, and then the last recorded temperature will appear on the screen. After showing the self-test temperature, the thermometer goes into testing mode.

Place the thermometer in the desired place (in the mouth, rectum or under the armpit).

• a) Mouth test: place the thermometer under the tongue according to the “√” position shown in Figure 2. Close your mouth and breathe evenly through your nose to prevent it from affecting the measurement of inhaled and exhaled air.
• b) Rectal examination: lubricate the silver tip of the probe with petroleum jelly to facilitate its introduction. Gently insert the sensor to a depth of about 1 cm (less than 1/2 inch) into the rectum.
• c) Underarm use: wipe armpits dry. Place the probe under your arm and keep your arm firmly pressed to your side. From a medical point of view, this method provides inaccurate readings and should not be used if accurate measurements are required.

The temperature mark flashes throughout the measurement process. When the flashing stops, a beep will sound for about 10 seconds. At the same time, the reading will appear on the LCD display. Without exception, the minimum measurement time should be maintained until the sound signal (squeaking). The measurement continues even after notification with a buzzer. For a better body temperature measurement result, it is recommended to keep the probe in the mouth and rectum for about 2 minutes or under the armpit for about 5 minutes regardless of the sound signal and maintain at least 30-second interval between measurements.

*Note: Usually the beeps are "Bi-Bi-Bi-Bi-Bi-Bi-"; the alarm makes a sound faster when the temperature reaches 37,8°C (100°F) or more, and the beeps are "Bi-Bi-Bi----Bi-Bi-Bi-Bi-Bi-Bi-Bi-Bi-Bi".

To extend battery life, press the on/off button to turn off the device after the test is complete. If no action is taken, the device will turn off automatically after about 10 minutes.
