Sonel MPI-506 is one of the smallest and most handy multifunctional meters for electrical installation parameters on the market. Designed for electricians, installers and measuring engineers, this instrument integrates the key diagnostic functions required by the PN-EN 61557 standard inside a compact housing with an extreme tightness class of IP67. The device effectively eliminates the need to transport many heavy measuring instruments, offering fast short-circuit loop measurement without triggering RCD, advanced testing of residual current circuit breakers in AUTO mode, insulation resistance and continuity tests.

The most important properties of the product:

• Pocket dimensions and maximum mobility: The MPI-506 redefines the concept of ergonomics. It is one of the smallest and lightest multifunctional instruments in its class, which makes it perfect for all-day field work, where the freedom of movement of the operator counts.
• Safe short-circuit loop (15 mA): Allows precise measurement of short-circuit loop impedance with low current (15 mA) in circuits protected by residual current circuit breakers. This process allows you to determine the short-circuit current without the risk of cumbersome, forced disconnection of power supply in the facility.
• Expanded RCD test with AUTO mode: The instrument supports residual current circuit breakers type AC and A (immediate, short and selective) with rated currents from $10\text{ mA}$ up to $500\text{ mA}$. The unique AUTO function performs a full measurement sequence ($t_A$ trigger time, $I_A$ activation current, $U_B$ touch voltage and $R_E$ ground resistance) automatically, reducing the test time to a minimum.
• Measurements of insulation and continuity of cables: * Isolation resistance: Three dedicated test voltages (100 V, 250 V and 500 V), ideal for diagnostics of home networks and sensitive signal lines.

  Continuity test $\pm200\text{ mA}$: Measurement of continuity of protective and compensatory connections with current of $\pm200\text{ mA}$ with automatic polarization change, fully compliant with the requirements of PN-EN 61557-4.

• Cable auto-calibration (Compensation): This function allows you to reset the resistance of your own test cables. This allows the user to use measuring wires of any length (e.g. Extended cables for continuity measurement), maintaining perfect accuracy without affecting the final measurement error.
• IP67 armored design and backlight: Hermetic housing provides full dustproofness and absolute water resistance (short-term immersion). The illuminated segment display in combination with backlit buttons enables trouble-free operation in conditions of lack of network lighting (e.g. in unclaimed buildings and dark cellars).
• Digital health and safety and Bluetooth: The integrated touch electrode immediately warns against the presence of dangerous voltage on the PE protective cable even before the measurement procedure is started. The collected results can be wirelessly transferred to your computer via the Bluetooth module for processing on the Sonel MeasureEffect™ platform.
