1. Key feature: Security and color "encoding"

The Anderson SB series connectors have a brilliant but restrictive feature: the grey connector fits only the second grey connector.

• You will not plug the gray plug into red, yellow or blue (they have other mechanical tabs).
• This protects against accidental connection of systems with different voltages (e.g. 12V to 24V or 36V) if you use different colors for different sections in the installation.

2. Construction without division into "male" and "female" (Genderless)
