Safety, standards and reliability

Safety is one of the cornerstones of the BearEbike Light project. From the beginning, it was assumed that this bike must meet not only the requirements of users, but also strict legal and technical standards. The model meets the European standard EN15194, which means that it can be legally used in European Union countries without the need for registration or insurance – it is a full-fledged pedelec. In addition, the CE certificate confirms the compliance of the structure with the requirements of safety and electromagnetic compatibility, while the battery meets the international standard UN38.3 – crucial for the transport of lithium-ion batteries in air, sea and land transport. Each component has been selected with reliability in mind: from the BLDC engine, through suspension and brakes, to ergonomic details affecting user comfort. Even after years of intensive use, the BearEbike Light remains a trustworthy machine. Plus, the ease of service and the availability of spare parts make it an investment for years to come. Performance: Engine, battery and assist technology

BearEbike Light is a piece of equipment that offers much more than a standard pedelec-class electric bike. Powered by a quiet and trouble-free 250W BLDC motor, it enables dynamic acceleration and smooth pedaling assistance in five precisely calibrated modes. The assistance system expires automatically after exceeding 25 km/h, in accordance with the European standard EN15194, which allows legal movement on public roads without registration. At the heart of the power supply system is a modern 48V lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 35Ah, providing a real range of up to 140 km with moderate driving. That’s up to 1680Wh of nominal energy, making the BearEbike Light one of the most efficient models in its class. The battery meets the requirements of UN38.3 and has built-in protection against overcharging, overheating and short circuit. With a 4A charger, it only takes 8 hours to fully charge, making it ideal for overnight power replenishment. The KT LCD4 display provides clear information about speed, charge level, assist mode and mileage. All this makes the BearEbike Light not only a technically advanced vehicle, but also a tool for everyday use – whether you are planning an urban ride or a field trip.

Design: Balanced frame, dual battery compartment and extreme strength

At the heart of the BearEbike Light is its extremely well-thought-out steel-aluminum frame, designed to meet both urban and off-road conditions. The key element is a reinforced battery compartment with an additional inner cover that effectively protects the battery from shocks, mud and moisture. Thanks to the use of a mixture of structural materials – aluminium for lightness and steel for fatigue resistance – the frame retains excellent rigidity at a relatively low weight. The appropriate distribution of the center of gravity (lower than in classic e-bikes) makes the bike perfectly guided, even with quick maneuvers or on uneven surfaces. The wheelbase and frame geometry have been adapted to the specifics of the hybrid wheel configuration: 26” at the front and 16” at the rear. This unique solution not only increases stability and control, but also improves driving dynamics in off-road conditions. The use of a strong 20x110 mm hub in the front wheel and 3.0x16” moto-tires on the rear guarantees durability even under heavy loads or dynamic enduro riding. As a result, the user receives a vehicle that not only looks solid, but also actually withstands extreme conditions of use. The BearEbike Light design is the perfect combination of safety, functionality and modern style that catches the eye and inspires respect on the road.

Comfort and handling: suspension, ergonomics and control

Driving comfort is one of the biggest advantages of the BearEbike Light, which stands out from other electricians with its suspension characteristics. The front two-shelf shock absorber with an impressive stroke of 200 mm is a solution known from enduro motorcycles. Thanks to the spring tension adjustment, the user can precisely adjust its operation to off-road conditions and his driving style. At the rear there is a DNM RCP2 shock absorber with 240 mm travel, 550Nm spring and full damping and rebound adjustment, which allows you to achieve an extremely smooth ride even on bumpy roads. Complementing the suspension system are wide, ergonomic grips, a handlebar with a diameter of 22 mm and a length of 780 mm and a gel saddle – all this together translates into outstanding ergonomics and stability of handling. The bike behaves confidently both with sharp braking (hydraulic 2-piston brakes with 180 mm discs), as well as during turns or sudden changes in direction. Thanks to the use of moto-tires at the rear and bicycle enduro-tires at the front, the user receives the optimal combination of grip and maneuverability. An additional advantage is the adjustable leg, allowing safe parking in all conditions. BearEbike Light was created for comfort not only on the road, but also during everyday use – whether you are in the city, on a dirt road or on a mountain trail.

Vehicles BearEbike marked VIN

We are proud to announce that from 23.09.2021, all BearEbike vehicles are marked with the VIN number. BEAREBIKE, as first and ONLY manufacturer of electric vehicles from Poland,compliant with all ISO 3780 standards:2009, ISO 3779:2009 and ISO 3779:2009, has passed positive accreditation for assigning VIN numbers for their vehicles,in accordance with the standards of the Polish Committee for Standardization, it was registered in the SAE International system under the initial code SX0,for vehicles of category L.

At the moment, all newly manufactured vehicles are marked with a VIN number, as the only vehicles of this type in Poland, which makes them currently the safest constructions on the market. We would also like to inform you that all our vehicles can already be positively insured by Transportation Liability, because all BearEbike vehicles have received the status of motor vehicles.
