Use the raclette set in the traditional way: Noble, ripe cheese should be melted and covered with baguette, potatoes or meat. For this purpose, the cheese is placed directly on the grill surface and positioned under a 1000-watt heater. By adjusting the height, it is easy to determine how quickly the hot cheese will get a creamy consistency. The cheese holder can be tilted to the side and also tilted horizontally so that it is easy to separate on plates. The power is regulated by an integrated knob with a thermostat - those who prefer cheese slightly darker should set the temperature at a higher level.
In addition to the traditional raclette for cheese specialties, Appenzell Peak also offers the possibility of using the grill on top of the unit. Here you can easily grill meat or vegetables, ideally suited to melted cheese.
