HUTCHINSON is a French company founded in 1853 by Hiram Hutchinson in Langlée, near Montargis. It began producing tires in 1890. Hutchinson tires undergo "battle testing" in races such as the Tour de France , which allows them to refine their designs and rubber compounds in real competition conditions.

Today, Hutchinson is the only French bicycle tire company that produces most of its products in France. The brand invests approx. 5% of the annual turnover in the research and development center, thanks to which it can offer a wide range of tires for demanding users and professionals.

Bicycle tyre 26 x 2.25, by Hutchinson, designed for off-road riding.

Unrivalled in terms of quality, durability and safety compared to products with a comparable price.

It is a tyre with 20 years of experience and many victories on its account.

The model is available in wire, inner tube, in size ETRTO 54-559, in black.

The PYTHON 2 treadmill has been developed to overcome uneven terrain on differentiated ground.

The legendary "square" profile provides the highest fast rolling efficiency on all types of roads.

In addition, thanks to it, the grip of the tire is excellent. The use of the right compound and well-chosen rubber improved the life of the tire.

The Oplot, of 33 TPI, provides better puncture and abrasion protection, while the soft, lateral rubber compound improves grip when cornering.

Trust the legend - choose PYTHON 2!

THE MOST IMPORTANT ADVANTAGES:

Universal tread for XC and recreational riding - performs well on dry paths and gravel. Provides smooth handling in a variety of terrain.

Low rolling resistance - makes it easier to maintain speed on straight sections. It allows you to drive efficiently without unnecessary loss of energy.

Predictable cornering behaviour - the layout of the blocks supports stability when changing direction. It gives you more control when driving dynamically.

33 TPI braid for increased durability - thicker structure better tolerates contact with obstacles. It works well with regular use in the field.

Wire construction for everyday use - provides solid embedding on the rim and resistance to deformation.

WHO IS PYTHON 2 FOR?

For people who ride recreationally outside the city – it will work well during quiet rides and weekend trips.

For users moving on a variety of surfaces – it is well found on dirt roads and forest paths.

For those looking for a simple and proven solution – it is a good choice for those who value trouble-free use.

For those who prefer a calm, controlled driving style – ensures stability and predictable handling.

APPLIED TECHNOLOGIES:

TUBETYPE

A classic tyre adapted for use in a set with an inner tube. The advantage of these tires is simplicity of use, affordability and ease of servicing.

Benefits: tires do not require a special type of rim.

Service: classic inner tube tires are the easiest to service and replace, e.g. in case of puncture during training.

Application: inner tube tires are best suited for training.

ADMISSIBLE LOAD:

Maximum load per tyre: 80 kg

Maximum total load per two tyres: 160 kg

NOTE: The tyre is directional: on the sidewall of the tyre there is a rotation direction arrow embossed by the manufacturer. During installation, position the tire so that the arrow indicates the direction of rolling the wheel forward. The front and rear tyres should be oriented according to this arrow. Reverse assumption can worsen traction and speed up wear.

Please note – this offer is for the tire only (1 pc.). The inner tube, valve, and other items shown in the pictures are not part of this offer – the graphics are for illustrative/demonstration purposes.

The tyre is also available IN SETS WITH INNER TUBES - various configurations and types of valves can be found at our other auctions.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT INNER TUBE FOR A BICYCLE TIRE?

SIZE

The inner tube must fit the rim diameter and the tire width range. Search for compatibility in ETRTO and in size inch.

Before installation, pay attention to compatibility: whether your current tyre has an ETRTO designation consistent with the product description and a width within the specified range.

The following markings are on the tyre:

ETRTO - width and diameter in mm, e.g. 28-622

Size in inches – e.g. 29x2.2, 27.5x2.1, 26x2.0

On the inner tube you will also find such information:

The same ETRTO diameter as on the tyre, e.g. 622, 584, 559

Width range, which includes tyre width, e.g. 28-32mm, 700x28/32C, 29x2.1-2.4

The above parameters are placed:

On the side of the tyre – stamped or printed: ETRTO and size in inches

On inner tube packaging – ETRTO + size range in mm/inch

On the old inner tube: print in the valve area

TYPES OF VALVES IN BICYCLE INNER TUBES:

DV (Dunlop) BICYCLE

Rim opening: 8-8,5 mm

Application: urban, children's, trekking

Features: simple design, easy pumping, holds pressure well, not designed for very high pressures

AV (Schrader) CAR

Rim opening: 8-8,5 mm

Application: MTB, electric, urban

Features: works with compressors and pumps at stations, very durable, requires a thicker hole in the rim

FV (Presta) FRENCH

Rim opening: 6-6,5 mm

Application: road, gravel, high-performance MTB

Features: narrow and light, adapted to work at high pressures

ASSEMBLY TIPS AND COMMENTS:

Choose the valve diameter for the rim hole: about 6,5 mm for FV (Presta) and about 8,5 mm for DV/AV.

Choose the length of the valve so that it protrudes at least 15 mm above the rim.

Before installing the inner tube and tire examine the technical condition of the rim – whether there are sharp edges, nipples, edges or damages that require replacing the rim or the entire wheel.

Wipe the inside of the tire and rim.

If a previously used tyre is used to replace the inner tube, check the condition of the sidewalls (cracks, micro-slots), possible bulges or deformations and abrasions of the tire interior; with visible damage, the tire should be replaced, because the risk of subsequent punctures increases significantly.

After inflating the inner tube slightly, when installing, make sure that it is laid without twisting and has not been pressed with a spoon or pressed between the tire foot and the rim; the valve should come out of the rim straight. The tyre should be pumped according to the range given on the side (too low pressure promotes “finishing”, too high threatens to shoot), and while driving avoid strong overruns on sharp curbs and deep holes without relieving the wheel.

It is recommended to use rim tape/protector to minimize the risk of mechanical damage during installation.

Important: Even a properly selected and mounted inner tube is not completely resistant to mechanical damage arising during operation.

The offered bicycle tyres meet the requirements of the REACH regulations. It does not contain hazardous chemicals above the permissible thresholds.
