The well-known for many years Czech factory located in Náhoda, producing bicycle tires, has changed its owner. As a result, there was a replacement of the existing Mitas brand, under which it offered its products, with the brand with its original Czech proper name - Rubena. From now on, the most well-known and recommended models of Mitas bicycle tires, including: Ocelot, Flash, Gripper or Scylla, as well as Mitas inner tubes, will appear under the Ruben logo and under this symbol the company will deliver them worldwide. In connection with this fact, we would like to inform you that the Mitas/Rubena logotype may appear randomly on the product depending on the delivery.

Rubber insert with a thickness of about 1 mm located between the tread and the braid of the tire was made of a special mixture. Thanks to its high strength and hardness, the risk of puncture of the tire is minimized. The tape also improves the rigidity and strength of the tire crown and reduces rolling resistance, while maintaining good grip on the surface.

REFLEX STRIPE - reflective strip. The excellent properties of the reflective strip ensure high light reflection during dusk and dawn, at night, in fog, in rain and in low light throughout the life of the tire.

MITAS/RUBENA bicycle tyres with reflective strip have E4 8R 002058 certificate, which guarantees high quality in accordance with standards and parameters. Reflective strip placed on the sidewall of the tire increases driving safety, ensuring good visibility on the road.

HOW TO CHOOSE THE RIGHT INNER TUBE FOR A BICYCLE TIRE?

SIZE

The inner tube must fit the rim diameter and the tire width range. Search for compatibility in ETRTO and in size inch.

Before installation, pay attention to compatibility: whether your current tyre has an ETRTO designation consistent with the product description and a width within the specified range.

The following markings are on the tyre:

ETRTO - width and diameter in mm, e.g. 28-622

Size in inches – e.g. 29x2.2, 27.5x2.1, 26x2.0

On the inner tube you will also find such information:

The same ETRTO diameter as on the tyre, e.g. 622, 584, 559

Width range, which includes tyre width, e.g. 28-32mm, 700x28/32C, 29x2.1-2.4

DV (Dunlop) BICYCLE

ASSEMBLY TIPS AND COMMENTS:

Choose the valve diameter for the rim hole: about 6,5 mm for FV (Presta) and about 8,5 mm for DV/AV.

Choose the length of the valve so that it protrudes at least 15 mm above the rim.

Before installing the inner tube and tire examine the technical condition of the rim – whether there are sharp edges, nipples, edges or damages that require replacing the rim or the entire wheel.

Wipe the inside of the tire and rim.

If a previously used tyre is used to replace the inner tube, check the condition of the sidewalls (cracks, micro-slots), possible bulges or deformations and abrasions of the tire interior; with visible damage, the tire should be replaced, because the risk of subsequent punctures increases significantly.

After inflating the inner tube slightly, when installing, make sure that it is laid without twisting and has not been pressed with a spoon or pressed between the tire foot and the rim; the valve should come out of the rim straight. The tyre should be pumped according to the range given on the side (too low pressure promotes “finishing”, too high threatens to shoot), and while driving avoid strong overruns on sharp curbs and deep holes without relieving the wheel.

It is recommended to use rim tape/protector to minimize the risk of mechanical damage during installation.

Important: Even a properly selected and mounted inner tube is not completely resistant to mechanical damage arising during operation.

The offered bicycle tyres meet the requirements of the REACH regulations. It does not contain hazardous chemicals above the permissible thresholds.
