Two platforms – two riding styles in one pedal

SPD Dual Function Hakuri are pedals that adapt to you. Each page has its own purpose and advantages.

Latch side – secure connection to the shoe

This side of the pedal is equipped with a SPD MTB system, allowing you to attach the shoe to the latch. Thanks to this you have:

• maximum control over the bike, both during climbs and high-speed descents,
• more efficient transfer of force to the drive, which you will feel especially over longer distances,
• confidence and safety – the shoe will not slip off the pedal in difficult terrain or during dynamic driving.

The set includes a pair of SPD blocks so that you can immediately use the latch function.

Pin side – stability and grip for regular shoes

The other side of the pedal is the wide aluminum platform, equipped with anti-slip steel pins. Their task is:

• ensuring great adhesion of ordinary footwear to the pedal, even in mud and rain,
• increasing comfort and stability for recreational, urban or trekking riding,
• the ability to ride in any shoes, without the need for blocks.

Plus, the set includes 15 interchangeable pins to customize the grip to your preference.

Possibility of full conversion to platforms with pins on both sides

Thanks to the well-thought-out design, it is possible to unscrew the latch mechanism and install additional pins on its side.

In this way, the pedals can be easily converted into platforms with pins on both sides, adapting them perfectly to your riding style – whether for difficult terrain or for a daily, recreational ride in ordinary shoes.

Large platform - stability and perfect grip

The large 110 mm x 120 mm platform and anti-slip stainless steel spikes guarantee full control of the bike, even on rough terrain.

The width of up to 110 mm provides solid support for the foot and a large contact area between the shoe and the pedal. A larger platform means more confident riding and better control of the bike – which is crucial in the field.

3 machine bearings

Three sealed bearings provide extremely smooth rotation and resistance to dust, water and sand. The robust, lightweight aluminum alloy body and the chromium-molybdenum steel (CR-MO) axle make the pedals durable and ready for any route.

Universal 9/16" Thread

The HAKURI SPD pedals have a universal thread with a diameter of 9/16 inches. This is the standard used in the vast majority of bikes – from MTB, gravel, to road.

Thanks to this, you can easily install pedals in almost every crank available on the market.

Convenience of installation - additional pedal markings

The "L" markings on the left pedal and "R" on the right pedal facilitate quick, hassle-free installation.

• The shoe is "plugged" into the pedal - thanks to this you have constant contact with the bike, which improves control and safety on technical sections or descents.
• Easier to lift the rear wheel (e.g. for bunny hop, overcoming obstacles or setting the bike on the fly), which is difficult on ordinary platforms
• The SPD system performs well in mud, snow and sand. It is easier to plug in and out in poor conditions than e.g. in road SPD-SL.
