The upcoming change to the new DVB-T2 broadcasting standard will be much smoother than the change from analog to digital signal that occurred about 10 years ago. In addition, the new standard enables cheaper transmission, as it makes better use of the radio spectrum used in the TV signal - so broadcasting will be cheaper. What does that mean? Nothing more than more programs. The change is necessary due to EU regulations that force the shift of emissions to lower frequencies, as channels 49 to 60 should be reserved for modern 5G data transmission. If this change had not occurred, many of our favorite programs would have disappeared.
