The TS5 is designed from the ground up for maximum connectivity. Featuring a set of key ports, it's ready to take your workflow to the next level.

This docking station offers a total of 15 ports, including four Thunderbolt 5 80 Gbps ports. In addition to rich connectivity, the TS5 also provides laptop charging with up to 140W of power. - Full list in " Specification "

With 15 ports, all of which can be used simultaneously, this docking station includes all the ports most of us ever need.

Power supply with 140 W

The TS5 provides up to 140W of power, even for the most demanding laptops. This makes it ideal for computers such as the 16″ MacBook Pro with M4 Pro or M4 Max chips that require a full 140W.

While many other Thunderbolt 5 docking stations declare the ability to charge at a certain power, they are actually equipped with an insufficient power supply. Such stations distribute the power of the host depending on the number of connected devices – some of the energy goes to the newly connected accessories, which reduces the charging power.

You can rest assured that the CalDigit TS5 power supply always delivers a full 140W of power and will never reduce performance, even when additional devices are connected.

For laptops or tablets that require less than 140W, the TS5 will only deliver as much power as your device actually needs.

Thunderbolt 5

The TS5 features four two-way Thunderbolt 5 ports with 80 Gbps bandwidth, which is twice as high as Thunderbolt 4.

PCIe performance on Thunderbolt ports has doubled compared to the previous generation and is now 64 Gbps PCIe 4.0. This is ideal if you plan to connect high-performance SSDs or RAID arrays to the TS5. This powerful docking station supports transfer speeds of up to 6 200 MB/s.

5 high-performance USB ports

The TS5 features 5 USB ports, allowing you to connect multiple accessories to your docking station*.

Four of the USB ports on the TS5 offer 10 Gbps performance, while one USB-A port provides USB 2.0 standard, ideal for keyboards or mice.

*USB-C and USB-A ports are for data transfer only. Monitors must be connected to free Thunderbolt 5/USB4 v2 ports.

USB-C port with 20 W

One of the front USB-C ports offers 20W of power, providing more power for your connected accessories.

It is ideal for devices requiring more than 7,5W, such as iPhone, Apple Watch or iPad Pro.

Single, dual or triple display

Whether you need a high-resolution display, a high-frequency display, or even three external displays, the TS5 will meet your expectations.

* Dual 5K monitors must be Thunderbolt 4 compatible or be Apple Studio Displays. LG UltraFine 5K dual monitors are not supported. 6K monitors can be Thunderbolt 4 compatible or be Apple Pro Display XDR. DSC (Display Stream Compression) support for 6K and 8K resolutions is required.

** Higher refresh rates (above 60 Hz) may require DSC support in both monitors and the host GPU. Bit/color depth may vary to handle higher refresh rates.

***Some MacBooks in the M3 series, e.g. MacBook Air, can support two external monitors up to 5K and 6K with the laptop cover closed (clamshell mode).

**** Currently, MacBooks with M1/M2/M3/M4 processors only support HDMI 2.0b over Thunderbolt ports. Therefore, resolutions are limited to 4K 60Hz using an HDMI adapter. Increase in bandwidth

When high-bandwidth monitors are connected to the TS5, Bandwidth Boost is activated, which prioritizes displays and delivers performance up to 120 Gbps. The remaining 40 Gbps is available for the other docking station ports.

This makes it possible to connect monitors with a higher refresh rate to the TS5, as well as three 4K 144 Hz displays.

2.5 Gigabit Ethernet

The TS5 features a 2,5 Gb Ethernet port for exceptional performance. *

The 2,5 GbE standard is 2,5 times faster than traditional Gigabit Ethernet and is becoming the new standard in routers, switches and NAS devices. *

Of course, the TS5’s 2,5 GbE port can also be used with traditional 1 Gb Ethernet devices.

*Ethernet is only supported on Thunderbolt computers and USB4 hosts that support PCIe. For information about PCIe support, please contact the manufacturer of the USB4 device.

Tablets and phones

Connect the TS5 to your iPad with Thunderbolt or tablet with Windows and Thunderbolt, and take your workflow to the next level.

The TS5 is also compatible with USB-C tablets and iPhones.

*The full functionality of the tablet depends on the capabilities of the device itself. General functionality may be limited by using a tablet or phone as a host.

SD & microSD 4.0 UHS-II

The TS5 features microSD and SD card readers located on the front of the device for easy access.

Both ports offer UHS-II performance and can be used simultaneously.

Rear host port

Most standard Thunderbolt docking stations have a front Thunderbolt host port, resulting in disorder in the wiring.

The TS5's unique Thunderbolt 5 host rear port offers a sleeker solution for keeping your workstation neat and tidy.

Apple SuperDrive

Devices like Apple SuperDrive Apple recommend connecting directly to your laptop because they require extra power. CalDigit has developed a driver for SuperDrive that allows it to be directly connected to the TS5.
