Will the interface work with my car?

The interface is a universal device and works with almost all models of vehicles with a standard OBD2 connector. Approximate dates of introduction of OBD2 system in the world: USA and Asia: from 1996, Europe and others: from 2001 cars with gasoline engine, from 2004 cars with diesel engine.

Where is the OBD2/eOBD socket?

It is often under the steering wheel or in the central part. Find and verify the socket before purchasing.

How to connect to the interface/controller in the vehicle?

1. Install on Android or laptop free application from Google Play Store.
2. Connect the interface to the OBD II socket.
3. We turn on Bluetooth on the phone, set visibility and search in the list of devices called 24DIAG
4. We connect to it by entering the standard code 1234. Only after this step we turn on the application.
5. In the installed application, in the settings, select rreturn connections to Bluetooth and indicate paired interface 24DIAG.
6. We proceed to the connection with the vehicle controller (ignition on, engine running).

The OBDII system is mandatory for cars:

• sold after 1 January 1996 in the USA
• sold after 1 January 2001 in the European Union
• sold after 1 January 2002 in Poland
• Diesel cars sold after 1 January 2004

There is also the possibility that cars sold earlier could also have an OBDII system, but at that time it was not mandatory for manufacturers.

Cars equipped with OBDII system have:

• characteristic 16-pin connector,
• two or more oxygen sensors (probe λ),
• should have a sticker informing about exhaust emissions, which is most often placed in most vehicles under the hood or at the radiator. This sticker has information whether the vehicle is OBDII certified.

The mere possession of a characteristic connector by the vehicle is not an indicator of OBDII system operation - all 3 of the above conditions must be met.
