Degu is a wholesome food for degu, with the addition of bark and twigs of fruit trees that make it easier for rodents to wipe their growing teeth. The basic component of the food are granules from cereals and alfalfa, obtained by extrusion method, which increases the digestibility and assimilability of nutrients contained in cereals and alfalfa. In addition, extrusion eliminates bacteria and fungi present in natural raw materials. The offered food is a composition enriched with flaxseed – a source of unsaturated fatty acids (EFAs) improving the appearance of rodent fur. It was also supplemented with topinambur, a natural prebiotic rich in inulin, which counteracts the development of diabetes – the most common disease of degu. The blend, thanks to the addition of season and herbs, has a unique taste and aroma that encourages animals to eat.
