GL-PRO-6 series meters are solutions based on modern 32-bit processors. This resulted in a fast and accurate measurement with a 12-bit transducer.

The meters use an innovative design of the measuring probe, which allows point measurement on ferromagnetic materials. The probe is terminated so-called. ball.

The meter has a calibration function on thickness standards (included in the set).

The function tells the evaluator of the car whether it had sheet metal and varnish repairs.

When making measurements, the meter signals with an LED:

• the diode does not shine – the correct varnish;
• LED lights up – second layer of varnish or putty.

It should be noted that the MEASUREMENT ASSISTANT® function is only to help in the interpretation of measurements, it cannot be the basis for an unambiguous answer to the question whether the car had sheet metal and varnish repairs. Nevertheless, many people who evaluate cars do not really know what a given paint thickness means, which is why the above function is to help in this.

The function allows you to measure and stop it. The HOLD function can be disabled from the MENU.

The meters have two modes of HOLD function:

• HOLD 1 - stops the measurement on the display until the probe is away from the surface;
• HOLD 2 - stops the measurement until the next measurement.

When the HOLD function is turned off, the meter performs a continuous measurement.

It is especially useful when measuring with HOLD enabled. After the measurement, the meter informs us about this fact with a short beep. The beep can be turned off from the MENU.

The meters have a spring-suspended measuring head, which is constructed in such a way that when pressing the probe to the test surface, it “slides” into the probe housing. Thanks to this, the measurement becomes more accurate due to a more even pressure to the test surface. Hand vibrations are also eliminated.

The measuring ball makes it easy to measure on curves.

The probe's forehead is made of high-quality plastic, ensuring that it will last for years to come.

The calibration - zeroing function ensures that the meter will measure correctly in all conditions, even after several years of use.

Before measurements, you can calibrate the meter and be sure that the measurements will be correct.

The meter has compensation so it automatically calibrates, but accurate calibration is always possible with a calibration plate.

Calibration + calibration plates - a very important function

• as the probe wears out (frictions) with this function, you will compensate for its wear, your measurements will still be correct;
• natural aging of electronic components after some time can cause a measurement error, which you will correct thanks to the calibration function and the attached plate;
• large temperature changes can cause a measurement error, which you will also correct thanks to the calibration function;
• It is thanks to the calibration function that you know whether your meter measures correctly, and when the deviation is large, you can eliminate this measurement error.
