Ubiquiti Networks UAP AC Mesh Pro is a device that supports the 802.11ac standard and provides 1300Mbps bandwidth in the 5GHz band and up to 450Mbps in the 2.4GHz band.

Hardware features of the device

Thanks to two integrated 3x3 MIMO omnidirectional antennas with a gain of 8dBi UAP-AC-M-PRO enables simultaneous operation in both bands (2.4 and 5GHz), which enables e.g. Connecting 2.4GHz clients with a simultaneous, efficient 5GHz uplink connection.

The device has 2 Gigabit Ethernet ports.

UniFi UAP-AC-M-PRO power supply is carried out using PoE 802.3af (48V) technology, which limits the wiring to a single Ethernet cable and greatly simplifies the installation process.

The corresponding power supply is included with the device, however, it is possible to use a switch from the UniFi, EdgeSwitch or ToughSwitch Pro series.

Plug & Play Mesh technology allows you to create "multi-hop" uplink connections – wirelessly connected devices can support links for other wirelessly connected UniFi devices.

The mesh topology allows you to build an extensive WiFi network without the existing need to create additional cable infrastructure.

Thanks to the waterproof housing, the device is ideal for use in all outdoor conditions.

The included mounting hardware allows you to mount the UniFi AC Mesh Pro on a mast or directly to the wall.

UniFi Controller software

The distinguishing feature of UniFi products is the free and extremely intuitive UniFi Controller software, thanks to which you can add, configure and manage multiple UniFi devices from a web browser. In addition, in real time, the statuses of connected devices, network traffic and possible network problems are visible.

UniFi Controller can be installed on Windows, MAC or Linux systems. It is also possible to run the software in a private cloud service or use a public cloud service.

It is also possible to purchase a compact UniFi Cloud Key device with UniFi Controller software installed.

UniFi software and devices support “roaming”, which means that using several access points to cover the range of a given object, the user can move freely without losing even for a moment the network connection.

Wireless Uplink

Wireless Uplink functionality enables wireless connections between UniFi devices and extends their range without wires.

Guest Portal Support – Hotspot

The UniFi system is characterized by easy customization and a wealth of Guest Portal options, including authentication, Hotspot configuration and the ability to use your own portal server.

Set up paid offers, enter different speed bands (download/upload), control the limit of data transferred and the time of use of the link by guests – all from the UniFi controller.

All UniFi UAP devices have full Hotspot functionality:

- built-in support for payments using popular credit cards,

Manage multiple places

A single UniFi Controller running in the cloud can manage devices in several locations, which enables distributed deployments and provides ease of management for an administrator or service provider.

Each location is logically separated and has its own configuration, map, statistics, Hotspot portal, write/read administrative accounts and read-only accounts.

WLAN Groups

The UniFi controller allows for flexible configuration for large system deployments. It is possible to create multiple WLAN groups and assign them to the radio module of the UAP device. Each WLAN can be tagged with a VLAN. Dynamic VLAN tagging for WiFi (or RADIUS VLAN) stations is also supported.
