Enabling traditional Quality of Service (QoS) may result in a limitation of internet speed depending on the actual bandwidth and the quality of the environment in which the network operates (e.g. no interference caused by other Wi-Fi networks).

Different USB external devices need different power. To ensure stable operation of USB hard drives and 4G/5G modems requiring power supply exceeding the specification for USB 2.0 (5V/500mA) or USB 3.1 Gen 1 (5V/900mA), a separate power supply should be used.

In order to use MU-MIMO technology, it is necessary to operate both the router and connected devices.

For models that support Time Machine, starting with macOS 26 (Tahoe), Time Machine no longer supports creating new backups on USB-connected storage devices. Existing Time Machine drives that have been previously configured remain compatible and can still be used for backup and restore.
