A whole new design

AirPods are lightweight and a great fit. In the ear, they are arranged at an optimal angle to provide you with comfort and how best to direct sound to the ear canal. At the base, they are 33 percent shorter than AirPods (2. generation) and have a pressure sensor for easy control of music and conversations.

Spatial sound with dynamic head movement tracking

Gyroscopes and accelerometers on AirPods track the movement of your head so you feel like you’re always at the center of things.

Adaptive correction (EQ)

Music is automatically tuned to the shape of your ear. Inward-facing microphones pick up the sounds you hear and then adjust the low and medium frequencies to bring out the richness of detail of each track.

Increased battery performance

Once fully charged, AirPods last an hour longer than AirPods (2. generation), which means up to 6 hours of listening time and up to 4 hours of talk time. The improved skin contact sensor turns AirPods on or off when you need to save battery power. Just 5 minutes of charging is enough for about an hour of listening or talking. And the MagSafe charging case provides power for over 30 hours and works with MagSafe and wireless chargers.

Water and sweat resistant

Both AirPods and MagSafe charging cases have an IPX4 waterproof rating, which means they are not afraid of rain or intense training.

Magic in every way

To prepare the headphones for use, you do not have to do anything except remove them from the case. Switching between your Apple devices is done automatically. The handset recognizes when it is in the ear, with the help of a sensor that distinguishes the skin from other surfaces. And with Sound Sharing, you and the other person can listen to a song or movie through any two pairs of AirPods.
