The Keychron Q3 Ultra 8K is a wireless, custom mechanical keyboard in an 80% TKL layout, designed for high performance, gaming and advanced personalization. The model offers a full metal construction, 2.4 GHz connectivity, Bluetooth 5.3 and USB-C, ZMK firmware, polling rate up to 8000 Hz and up to 660 hours of operation with the backlight turned off.

The most important features

  • The 80% TKLKeyboard has a compact TKL layout, i.e. without a numeric block, but with the preservation of function keys, arrows and navigation section. This takes up less space than a full-size keyboard, while still remaining comfortable to work and play.
  • Polling rate 8000 HzKeychron Q3 Ultra 8K supports polling rate 8000 Hz in both wired and 2.4 GHz mode, which is designed to provide very low latency and fast response in games.
  • Three connection modesThe model can be connected via 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.3 or wired via USB-C. In Bluetooth mode, the keyboard can connect to up to three devices.
  • Full metal constructionThe housing is made of 6063 aluminum, which ensures high durability, stability and premium feeling during use.
  • The Keychron Silk POMThe Fully Assembled version is equipped with pre-lubricated Keychron Silk POM switches, designed for smooth, stable and precise keystroke.
  • Hot-swapThe keyboard supports solder-free switch replacement and is compatible with most MX-style 3-pin and 5-pin mechanical switches.
  • Double-gasket design and soundproofing layersThe design uses a double gasket system and several layers of soundproofing materials such as sound-absorbing foam, IXPE, PET film, latex bottom pad and bottom case acoustic foam. This is to improve the sound, reduce resonance and increase the comfort of writing.

Connectivity and performance

Keychron Q3 Ultra 8K offers three operating modes: 2.4 GHz, Bluetooth 5.3 and USB-C. In wired and 2.4 GHz mode, the keyboard supports polling rates up to 8000 Hz, while via Bluetooth it can be connected to three devices, e.g. computer, tablet and phone.

Personalization and software

The keyboard works with the web application Keychron Launcher, which allows you to change key mapping, create macros, set shortcuts, configure backlighting and update firmware. The launcher runs through a browser and, according to the vendor, supports Windows, macOS, Linux and other browser-compatible platforms.

RGB backlighting

The keyboard has RGB LED south-facing and supports more than 22 RGB backlight modes, including static white backlighting. There are also Per-key RGB functions, i.e. setting the color of each key separately, and Mix RGB, which allows you to divide the keyboard into two separate light zones.
