2. Electric throttle adaptation. Electric throttle adaptation involves using a car decoder to initiate the throttle actuator so that the ECU learning value returns to its initial state. Thanks to this, the movement of the throttle (or engine at idle) can be controlled more accurately, thus adjusting the volume of intake.
3. Reset steering angle (SAS). To reset the steering angle, first find the relative zero point for driving straight ahead. Taking this place as a reference point, the ECU can calculate the exact turning angle left and right. After replacing the steering angle position sensor, replacing the mechanical parts of the steering system (such as the steering box, steering column, steering rod end, steering crossover), making the geometry of the wheels, or repairing the bodywork, you need to reset the steering angle.
4. Battery matching. This feature allows you to perform a reset operation on the vehicle battery monitoring unit, in which the original low battery voltage information will be removed and the battery adjustment will be carried out.
5. ABS venting. When there is air in the ABS system, an ABS venting procedure must be carried out to vent the braking system and restore the ABS braking sensitivity. If the ABS computer, ABS pump, brake master cylinder, brake cylinder, brake hose or brake fluid are replaced, the ABS venting procedure must be carried out to vent the ABS.
6. Brake reset. If the brake lining wears the brake lining sensor line, the sensor line sends a signal to the on-board computer to replace the brake lining. After replacing the brake pad, you need to reset the brake lining. Otherwise, the car signals an alarm.
7. Regeneration of DPF. DPF regeneration is used to remove particulate matter (PM) from the DPF filter through a continuous combustion oxidation mode (such as high-temperature combustion, fuel additive or catalyst ignition PM reduction) to stabilize filter performance.
8. Learning how to operate the transmission. The crankshaft position sensor learns the tolerance of crankshaft tooth processing and writes it to your computer to more accurately diagnose engine ignition failure. If the transmission learning for a car equipped with a Delphi engine has not been done, the MlL lights up after starting the engine. Diagnostic device detects DTC P1336 error "no transmission learning". In this case, you need to use a diagnostic device to learn the operation of the transmission for the car. After successfully learning the operation of the transmission, MIL goes out. After replacing the ECU of the engine, crankshaft position sensor, crankshaft flywheel, or the occurrence of the error "no transmission learning", the transmission must be learned.
9. Support IMMO. To prevent unauthorized use of the car by unauthorized keys, an anti-theft key matching function must be carried out so that the immobilizer system in the car identifies and authorizes the remote control keys for normal use of the car. When the ignition key, ignition, integrated instrument panel, ECU, BCM, or remote control battery are replaced, the anti-theft key matching procedure must be carried out.
10. Coding of injectors. Save the actual injector code or rewrite the code in the ECU to the injector code of the corresponding cylinder to more accurately control or correct the amount of injection in the cylinder. After replacing the ECU or injector, the injector code of each cylinder must be confirmed or re-encoded so that the cylinders can better identify the injectors for accurate fuel injection control.
11. TPMS reset. After the tire pressure indicator light comes on and maintenance is performed, the tire pressure reset function must be performed to reset the pressure and turn off the indicator light. Tyre pressure reset must be performed after maintenance in the following cases: tire pressure is too low, tires are leaking, tire pressure monitoring device is replaced or installed, tires are replaced, tire pressure sensor is damaged, and tires are replaced for a car with tire pressure monitoring function.
12. Suspension adjustment. This function can adjust the height of the body. After replacing the body height sensor in the air suspension system or control module, or when the vehicle level is incorrect, you need to perform this function to adjust the body height sensor to the level calibration.
13. Reset AFS. This function is used to initialize an adaptive headlight system. Depending on the intensity of the outdoor light, the adaptive headlight system can decide whether to automatically turn on the headlights and then adjust the illumination angle of the headlights accordingly, monitoring the vehicle speed and body posture.
14. A/T learning. This feature can complete the gearbox self-learning process to improve the quality of gear shifting. When the gearbox is dismantled or repaired (after disconnecting the power supply in some cars), this can lead to delays or impacts when changing gears. In this case, this function is needed so that the gearbox can automatically compensate according to driving conditions, which allows you to achieve a more comfortable and better quality of shifting.
15. Initialization of the sunroof. This feature allows you to set the sunroof lock, close it in the rain, the sunroof tilt/slide memory function, the temperature thresholds outside the vehicle, etc.
16. EGR adoption. This function is used to learn the EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) valve after it has been cleaned or replaced.
17. Reset ODO. a) ODO reset consists of copying, saving or rewriting the odometer values in the meter chip using the car diagnostic computer and data cable so that the meter shows the actual mileage. b) Usually, when the mileage is not correct due to damage to the vehicle speed sensor or meter failure, it is necessary to reset the ODO after maintenance.
18. Resetting the airbag. This feature resets the airbag data to clear the airbag crash indicator. When the vehicle collides and the airbag is started, the corresponding crash data error code appears, the airbag indicator lights up and the error code cannot be cleared. Since the data in the airbag computer is one-time, it is required that all new parts be replaced, but after performing this function, the airbag computer data can be recovered, and the error code can be cleared, the airbag light will go out, and the airbag computer can still be used.
19. Transport mode. To reduce energy consumption, the following functions may be disabled, including limiting vehicle speed, not waking up the door opening network and disabling the remote control key, etc. In this case, the transport mode must be deactivated to restore the vehicle to its normal state.
20. Reset A/F. This function is used to set or learn the parameters of the air/fuel ratio.
