✅ The impact sensor in a car video recorder, also called an accelerometer or G-sensor, is an element that responds to sudden changes in acceleration, such as impact or shock. Its main task is to detect potential collision events and activate the parking mode or secure the recording in the event of such an event.

Here are the basic issues regarding the operation of the impact sensor:

✅ Acceleration response: The impact sensor works by monitoring rapid acceleration changes in three axes of space. In the event of a severe shock, for example caused by a blow to the vehicle, the sensor is able to detect this change and provide information about a potential event.

✅ Threshold values: Shock sensors are usually configured with specific threshold acceleration values. When the acceleration value exceeds a set limit, considered potentially harmful, the sensor activates appropriate actions, such as starting the parking mode or securing the recording.

✅ Activation of parking mode: When a potentially dangerous event is detected, the impact sensor can automatically switch the video recorder to parking mode. In this mode, the device starts recording video and, depending on the configuration, can protect the recording from being overwritten.

✅ Recording protection: When an event is detected, the impact sensor typically records the recording with a certain period before and after the event. This allows you to maintain full context and document the circumstances of the event.

⭐ Installation of the device

✅ The video recorder is mounted on the original interior mirror of the vehicle. The set includes mounting bands, thanks to which the device will hold the mirror firmly and stable. The recorder is powered directly from the cigarette lighter socket. You can also connect the device to a power adapter that plugs directly into the car installation. It should give a minimum of 2000mA. The cable for the rear camera is 6 meters long and can easily be used for a passenger car. The rear camera can be mounted behind the rear window or outside the car near the license plate frame. You can also choose a set with a whiteboard frame in which the reversing camera will already be installed.

✅ The device has a large 10 inch screen and is operated by touch. Touch in the device works very efficiently, access to functions is very simple and intuitive. Touching the equipment is much simpler and faster. Thanks to this, you do not have to wonder which button to press and their absence eliminates the frequent affliction of such devices as the sound of moving buttons. You will not find such a problem in this device.

⭐ Reversing camera function

✅ The Fastcam has a reversing camera function. When you throw in the reverse gear, automatically on the entire screen, you will see an image from the rear camera along with auxiliary lines for parking. Auxiliary lines will help to determine the distance from the obstacle. After the reverse gear is knocked out, the image will return to the previous view.

✅ Thanks to this function, parking becomes much easier, reversing much safer and the image is recorded on the memory card from both cameras at the same time.

✅ There is one red wire in the installation for the rear camera. We plug it into the plus of the reverse light bulb. This is where the device gets information that a reverse gear has been thrown in.

⭐ Starting the DVR

✅The correct connection of the device consists in inserting the power supply from the set into the cigarette lighter socket. The device starts automatically when the ignition is turned on, starts recording itself and turns off when the ignition is turned off. Thanks to this, the recorder is completely maintenance-free and you do not have to remember to turn it on.

In vehicles where the power supply in the cigarette lighter socket is at all times, the recorder should be manually switched off and on.
