Astrid i-Size has won a prestigious award in research conducted by the German ADAC institute. In the safety test, the seat earned as many as 5 stars, which means the highest score possible.

Due to the possibility of mounting the carrier on both car belts and the base, two separate tests were carried out, depending on the method of fastening used. Thanks to advanced protection solutions, the Astrid i-Size has earned maximum number of stars, regardless of the installation method.

Seats subjected to ADAC tests go through 4 stages of testing, during which they are checked for safety, handling, ergonomics and chemical content. However, it is worth remembering that the results are summed according to the German scale, which means that the lower the average of points awarded, the better. The total rating for Astrid i-Size was as high as 2,2 points, which is 4 stars!

High-quality materials

The shell of the seat is made of PP plastic and reinforced with EPP plastic. EPP plastic resembles polystyrene, however, it has much better physicochemical properties – it is characterized by great strength and does not deform. In addition, it is very light, making the seat comfortable for everyday use. The EPP material is also recyclable.

Security

The Memory Foam headrest protects the delicate head and cervical section of the child – thanks to its high elasticity, it absorbs overloads perfectly. In contrast, advanced side protection is a guarantee of safety during a side impact, which, next to the front, is the most common type of collision. Massive seat housing protects the child's shoulder girdle, torso and hips.

ISOFIX base

The Astrid i-Size Set is mounted using the included ISOFIX base and stabilizing leg. Special indicators placed on both the base and the stabilizing leg inform the user about the correct attachment of the seat by changing the color – from red to green.

The seat is placed in the base using the – latch mount if it has been properly plugged in, then the user will hear a characteristic sound indicating the correct attachment of the carrier.

Convenience during use

The base allows the car seat to remain plugged in at all times, so that the parent can easily pull out and put down the seat – without having to carry out assembly every time.

Just remove the carrier and place it back in the base before the next trip.

3-point belts with Holmebergs buckle

They can be freely adapted to the child's body structure. They provide maximum security. The Holmebergs latch buckle guarantees excellent durability.

The seat is compatible with universal stroller adapters, which allow you to transport the seat on a frame. The ability to remove and wash the cover allows you to keep the seat clean. The low weight of the carrier makes it easy to carry.
