The frequency response matters

The frequency response for IEM doesn't determine everything, but it's important. To reproduce the timbre of the original recording, this means a flat bass response and a medium-high response to the target HRTF* distributed sound. Based on the canonized “Spaceship”, the SSR still offers a great option at an attractive price for faithful reproduction of the timbre and soundstage.

Sturdy amorphous metal alloy housing

A single cast of amorphous metal alloy provides high stability and resistance to external factors. After further reinforcement with screws, the strength of SSR becomes the leading in the offer of our products.

Small, comfortable, ergonomic design

Redesigned anti-clogging filter/suppressor

Unlike some other IEMs on the market, MOONDROP uses an acoustic silencer and filter in one package for precise control of the frequency response in the SSR. Its internal silencer is exposed to some risk of contamination with fumes or earwax, resulting in volume imbalances. (This is actually the main cause of warranty issues.)

To prevent this, we have developed a new three-layer filter/suppressor to prevent clogging. Effectively reduces the risk of clogging problems that end up with a volume imbalance.

All our products completed after April 2020 will be supplied with this filter. Users who experience volume imbalances can buy/replace filters themselves.

*98% of channel imbalance problems were caused by clogged filters according to the MOONDROP service department.

*This filter significantly reduces but does not eliminate 100% channel imbalance caused by clogging. Users can purchase additional filters from our distributors. Due to the special design of our filter, we do not recommend any other filters from the aftermarket, as they can cause obvious acoustic degradation.

Detachable silver-plated copper cable OFC

SSR uses standard 2-pin 0,78mm connectors with thick silver coated OFC conductors with a transparent, highly flexible cover. This allows users to change the original cable to another or Bluetooth module according to their preferences and needs.
