Audio-Technica ATH-WP900 are portable over-the-ear headphones that catch the eye with their beautiful cases made of maple wood, ensuring high sound fidelity and incredible visual appeal. Maple is a stiff, high-density wood often used to make stringed instruments such as guitars and violins.

For the ATH-WP900, Audio-Technics designers placed a thin slice of corrugated maple on hard, machine-machined maple wood to create enclosures that deliver clear, natural sound. The corrugated maple wood finish, provided by Japanese guitar manufacturer Fujigen, brings out the unique grain of each case, revealing a one-of-a-kind beauty that will deepen over the years.

The headphones are equipped with unique 53 mm drivers with a powerful magnetic system, DLC (diamond-like coating) and a printed circuit board mounted to the back of the transducer, in order to achieve exceptional full-range sound reproduction. The specially designed, angled partition improves airflow between the front and back of the diaphragm for better sound reproduction in the low and midrange ranges, as well as optimizing the position of the headphones relative to the ears for better comfort and sound isolation.

In the ATH-WP900 model, the designers used A2DC (Audio Designed Disachable Coaxial) sockets, which provide a secure connection to two detachable cables with a length of 1,2 m. One of the wires is terminated with a gold-plated 3,5 mm stereo mini-jack plug for use with smartphones and standard audio devices. The second cable features a 4.4mm, 5-pin gold-plated balanced plug for connection to high-res digital audio players and compatible balanced headphone amplifiers. The over-ear cups and headband of the ATH-WP900 headphones are made of smooth synthetic leather, which provides a high level of comfort. The earcups can be folded flat, making it easy to carry the headphones in the included carrying case.
