How to measure the axis parameters?

1. Measure the thread pitch (you can find instructional videos on YouTube).

2. Measure the total length of the axis - along with the thread (as indicated in the figure on the right).

ATTENTION! Bicycle manufacturers in the catalog usually give the width of the hub, not the length of the axle. Hub width is not the same as axle length!

On some axes there is a printed parameter of thread pitch and its length.

Before buying, measure the exact parameters of your axle - an attempt to screw in the axle with a bad thread can result in irreversible damage to both the axle and the thread on the bike.
