The AGRI 23 12/24V AUTOMATIC rectifier from MAGNUM is an inverter solidly made device with an intelligent charging process. Automatically detects 12 or 24V battery voltage, designed to charge ordinary and maintenance batteries: lead-acid open or closed type (e.g. WET batteries - with electrolyte in liquid form, GEL - with electrolyte in gel form, or AGM - with electrolyte absorbing mat).
The AGRI 23 12/24V AUTOMATIC charger operates in a four-stage mode, which is particularly important in the case of batteries that are significantly discharged or have not been used for a long time.
Pre-charging is particularly important for batteries that are significantly discharged or not used for a long time. In this mode, the rectifier stimulates the battery with low current in order to safely restore its parameters enabling charging in normal mode. Then the rectifier will automatically go to charging according to subsequent modes.
The last mode is maintenance charging. When the battery is fully charged, the rectifier will turn off the charging indicator light and the fan, and turn on the “Recharge – Maintenance” light.
At this point, the battery is ready to use, it can be mounted in the vehicle. If the battery needs to be stored, the rectifier will then operate in backup mode, keeping the battery in the maximum charge state for the entire storage period.
Rectifiers have a number of protections such as:
- short circuit protection,
- before the reverse connection of the poles,
- before overheating,
- before overcharging,
- before charging damaged or fully discharged batteries.
The protections used in the rectifier allow you to charge the battery without removing it from the vehicle and even start the engine while charging the battery (representing a slight boost in the start).
