Description:

The SMART 6V/12V/24V 15A A80 rectifier is the first battery charger on the market with a microprocessor control and control system in PWM technology with the possibility of charging 6V, 12V, 24V batteries and the possibility of choosing non-standard types of battery voltages. Thanks to the intelligent parameter setting, it allows you to regenerate a discharged battery.

8-STEP CHARGING

• STAGE 1: DIAGNOSTICS: analysis of the battery, its state of charge and correctness of connections

between the battery and the rectifier.

• STAGE 2: DESULPHURISATION: recognition of sulphurized battery, charging with pulsating current o

low voltage and high intensity allows you to remove sulfate from the battery plates, making

its initial capacity is restored.

• STAGE 3: ANALYSIS: checking whether the battery is not damaged and whether it can accept charging current -

prevents charging of the damaged battery.

• STAGE 4: SOFT START: if the battery is not damaged, electric charging begins o

relatively low intensity (about 15%), gradually increasing its value.

• STAGE 5: ESSENTIAL CHARGING: constant current maximum charging with a value

automatically adjustable depending on the state of charge of the battery, until it reaches

80% of the battery capacity.

• STAGE 6: FINAL CHARGING: charging with decreasing current and constant voltage up to

reaching 100% battery capacity.

• STEP 7: ANALYSIS: battery charge test lasting about 2 minutes – if after stopping

charging the battery level does not decrease, the charging process is completed.

• STAGE 8: PULSING: monitoring battery voltage and maintaining optimal

charge at 95-100% capacity through charging current pulses

Intelligent operating modes

• Constant Voltage: Using DC voltage to charge the battery, checking that the charging current is not too high, reducing it during the process.
• Constant Current: Means that the battery voltage is lower than the set voltage of the charger, but the charger will support the constant charging current of the battery.
• Trickle Charge Modulation: When the battery voltage approaches the set voltage and the charging current is low to the set current, it will switch to floating charge modulation mode. This means that the battery is charged, but it is constantly checked for voltage drops and recharged automatically with alternating current.
• Floating Charge Modulation: The mode will maintain the state of full charge of the battery.

Protective functions

• Overheating protection: When the temperature of the charger exceeds 150°C, the charger will stop charging. When the temperature drops to 80°C or the rectifier turns off for approx. 10 min, after this time you can charge the battery again.
• Short-circuit protection: When a short circuit occurs in the circuit, the operation will automatically stop. This will be manifested by a long beep. Then you need to plug it in thoroughly to restart the charging automatically.
• Reverse-connecting protection: When the terminals ( +/- ) are mistakenly connected the other way around, the charger will signal this in the form of intermittent long beeps. After properly connecting the terminals, it will be recharged.

Charging process

• The charging process of the rectifier is based on the impulse charging system - charging for 5 seconds, then interrupting the charging for 1 second, causes most of the oxygen that was created during charging to become an electrolyte. This method not only reduces the formation of gases, but the rectifier can also repair the sulphated battery.
• When the charging indicator displays 25%, 50%, 75%, 100%, it shows the battery charge percentage:
• Blinking - when the battery capacity is too low, the rectifier on the display will warn about too low voltage flashing.
• After the battery is repaired by the charger, it will display the normal charge level again.
• Sound signal - when the battery is fully charged, a cyclic beep will appear every minute.
• When you start the charger, it will be switched to smart charging mode by default. Every time you charge, this product scans and tests the battery. The battery will be displayed on the screen for battery testing. After a while, the rectifier will enter the mode (repair, maintenance or maintenance).
