The Blue Smart IP22 charger is a new professional battery charger that supports Bluetooth technology. Blue Smart IP22 chargers can be used for equipment used in workshops and motor vehicles, such as classic cars, motorcycles, motorhomes or boats.

• Storage stage - Additional stage extending the battery life when not in use and is constantly charged.
• Recovery stage - Optional stage by which the degradation of the lead-acid battery can be partially reversed as a result of sulphation; usually caused by inadequate charging or leaving the battery in a state of deep discharge.
• Low current mode - Optional mode that limits the maximum charging current to a much lower level; mode recommended when charging batteries with a lower capacity with a high current charger.
• Recovery function - Blue smart family chargers attempt to charge a heavily discharged battery (up to 0 V) with low current, and then resume normal charging when the battery voltage rises sufficiently - many other chargers do not recognize this battery status.
• Power mode - Special mode that allows you to use the charger as a DC power source; to power devices with or without a constant voltage with or without a battery connected.

✅ Configuration and monitoring via Bluetooth (using VictronConnect)

Using the VictronConnect application and a Bluetooth-enabled device (mobile phone or tablet), it is possible to easily configure, monitor and update the firmware.

✅ Multi-Step Charging Algorithm

The multi-stage charging algorithm is designed to optimize all charging cycles and maintain the charge for longer periods.

✅ Adaptive absorption.

Adaptive absorption monitors the battery response during initial charging and intelligently determines the appropriate absorption time for each individual charging cycle. This ensures that the battery is fully charged regardless of the level of discharge or capacity, and avoids excessive time at elevated absorption voltage (which can affect the acceleration of battery aging).

✅ Temperature compensation

The charging voltage is automatically compensated depending on the ambient temperature; this ensures that the battery is charged at the optimal charging voltage regardless of climatic conditions and eliminates the need for manual adjustment of settings.

In lithium-ion battery charging mode, the temperature compensation function is not required and is automatically switched off.

• Reverse polarity connection protection: If the charger is incorrectly connected to the reverse polarity battery, the replaceable fuse will burn out

✅ Noiseless operation

When the cooling fan is turned off, the charger operates completely silently; the cooling fan is only turned on in situations requiring it.

When NIGHT (night) or LOW (low current) mode is switched on, the maximum output current is reduced to 50 % of the rated value and the cooling fan will always remain switched off.

✅ Suitable for charging lithium-ion batteries

The device is compatible with lithium-ion batteries (LiFePO₄); after selecting the LI-ION charging mode, the charging cycle settings are adjusted accordingly.

When connecting the charger to a battery that has undervoltage protection (UVP) worked, the blue smart charger automatically resets the UVP and starts charging; many other chargers do not recognize this battery status.
