The guide and chain must never work without oil. Using a cordless wood saw with too little oil results in reduced cutting efficiency and chain life as the chain blunts faster. Too little oil can be recognized by the appearance of smoke or the discoloring of the guide.Regular tensioning of the cutting chain ensures the user safety, reduces chain wear and/or prevents damage. Before starting work, and then at intervals of approx. 10-minutes are recommended for the user to check and correct chain tension if necessary. When working with a chainsaw, the chain heats up and thus slightly expands. This type of "heat expansion" can be expected especially in the case of newer chains. The chain is properly tensioned if it hangs from the bottom of the guide and can be completely rotated around the guide with a gloved hand. When the cutting chain is tensioned with force (approx. 1 kg), the gap between the cutting chain and the guide must not exceed 2 mm. u The chain should be cleaned and lubricated regularly. This ensures that the chain maintains its sharpness and the machine achieves optimal performance. Damage caused by insufficient maintenance of the cutting chain results in loss of warranty. Remove the battery while working on the chain or guide. Protective gloves against cutting should be used during work.
