Universal PoE Network Switch
Dedicated for CCTV systems IP 6-port switch in external housing of the ABOX series is a convenient solution to the problem of protection of devices and cable connections mounted in external conditions. High-quality plastic provides resistance to UV radiation and adverse weather conditions.
Safeguard
Electronic protection of PoE outputs ensures continuity of operation of the entire system at short circuit or overload of individual power branches and automatic return of voltage after the failure has subsided.
Unmanaged PoE switches and extenders are designed to work with IP cameras and other network devices powered in the PoE 802.3at/af and PoE PASSIVE standards.
Key features and functions:
- possibility of powering 5 PoE 802.3at/af or PASSIVE receivers
- possibility of data transmission at 280m (in Long Range mode)
- electronic fuse independently for each PoE channel (auto return)
- possibility of switching off the power supply on selected PoE ports
- clear optical indication of power supply and data transmission status
- wide range of input voltage (10...56VDC)
- Output voltage = Input voltage
- up to 70W power on LAN_5 PoE IN/OUT port
- up to 40W of power on other PoE ports
- Powered by screw connector (Vin) or other PoE PASSIVE switch (PoE IN/OUT port)
- possibility of cascade power supply - one xPoE powers another (PoE IN/OUT port)
- easy and quick start-up without the need to configure parameters
- very low power consumption (<1,5W)
- assembly of modules in any open part of the mounting plate (raster system)
- possibility of maintaining the supply of cables inside the housing
- cable input through glands mounted in the housing: 6xM16
- 2 handles included for mounting the housing without violating the IP56 degree of protection
Two modes of operation
Standard mode (OFF) all ports operate at a speed of 100 Mbps and offer an Ethernet network range of up to 100 meters.
Long Range (ON) mode the range is increased to 280 meters, and the speed on ports from 1 to 4 reduced to 10 Mbps. This bandwidth is sufficient to efficiently operate one camera.
In both modes, the UpLink 5 and 6 port speeds are 100 Mbps.
Thanks to the Long Range mode enabled, we provide greater flexibility in the placement of cameras. Increasing the distance from the switch allows you to cover a large area more easily without having to build additional distribution points.
Regardless of the operating mode selected, the switch supports PoE short circuit and surge protection to protect network devices. Port 6 UpLink regardless of the selected operating mode is not possible to turn on the PoE power supply. This allows you to securely connect different LAN segments.
Necessary mounting hardware included

Comments:
- LongRange mode is disabled by default
- Changing modes requires a power restart
- It is recommended to pre-test the function before deployment
- There is no isolation of VLAN ports - undisturbed communication between all ports regardless of the mode of operation
- For long distances, we recommend powering the switch with 55V voltage from a dedicated APS-90-550-OF power supply or using an ASUC-100-550-OF converter for buffer sets
- Transmission distance is related to the cable used, Cat5e/6 cable is recommended
- The use of low-quality cables or CCA directly affects the significant reduction in range and the limited PoE budget delivered to the camera
