SFG128WP-BT is a 28-port PoE switch designed to power IP cameras operating in the IEEE 802.3af/at/bt standard. Switch on ports 1 to 24 has the function of automatic detection of devices powered in the PoE/PoE+ standard, and HiPoE for ports 1-4. Ports marked TP/25-28 are used to connect further network devices via the RJ45 connector. The switch also has four SFP sockets (designated SFP/25-28), which after using the fiber optic module (GBIC insert) allow transmission over optical fiber.

The device should be installed in enclosed spaces with normal air humidity (RH=90% max. without condensation) and temperature from -10°C to +40°C. Free air access to the device should be ensured.

If the device is mounted in the housing, free convection air flow through the ventilation openings of the housing should be ensured.

Before proceeding with the installation, a load balancer for the Switch must be drawn up. The specified load value (60)30 W per port is a value that refers to a single output. The total power consumption should not exceed 360 W.

Increased power demand is particularly visible when using cameras equipped with heaters or infrared reflectors - when these elements are switched on, the power consumption increases sharply, which may affect the malfunction of the switch in the event of overloading the device. Because the device is designed for continuous operation, it does not have a power switch, so it is necessary to provide proper overload protection in the power supply circuit.

Electrical installation should be made in accordance with applicable standards and regulations.
