After moving the electrode away from the welded object, the electric arc stops and the welding process is interrupted. The welding arc glows between a high temperature resistant, non-melting tungsten electrode and a welded element. The inert gas from which the method is named produces an anaerobic atmosphere and prevents the chemical reactions of the liquid welding lake. Argon is used most often: it optimizes the glow properties and provides a particularly stable welding arc. Helium dissipates heat better than argon, thus ensuring deep and wide melting.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eTungsten electrode is the heart of TIG welding. Tungsten has a melting point of 3380 degrees Celsius, which is the highest value among all pure metals in the periodic table of elements. Thanks to this, the electrode does not melt, while the welding arc produced by it warms up and liquefies the material.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eHIGH FREQUENCY GLOW\u003c\/b\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\u003cp\u003eA special feature of TIG welding is the possibility of contactless welding arc glowing. Fast, consecutive high-voltage pulses allow sparks to be transferred to the welded element and stabilize the welding arc. For the welder, high frequency glow is extremely easy to operate.
