A good dinghy with a full floor must weigh approximately 18 kilograms per meter of length. All good quality dinghies have similar load capacities: 2.7m - 3.5 persons; 2.9m - 4 persons; 3.2m - 4.5 persons; 3.6m - 5.5 persons. This is primarily due to material quality and certification conditions. Considering that to get a dinghy on plane, the power requirement increases logarithmically (approx. 6HP for 290cm), consider whether it's better to buy a \"floppy\" or proper equipment.
