Vitamin C-1000 with Rose Hips by NOW Foods is a supplement containing a high dose of vitamin C (ascorbic acid) in one tablet. Vitamin C is a water-soluble nutrient that is known primarily for its positive effects on our immune system.
Vitamin C is involved in the production of collagen, a structural protein in connective tissue. Thanks to this, it ensures the health of the skin, bones and joints. Vitamin C is needed for amino acid metabolism and neurotransmitter synthesis. It also improves the absorption of many nutrients, such as folic acid and iron. Vitamin C is also a very effective antioxidant that protects cells and body molecules from damage by free radicals.
The NOW Foods supplement has been specially formulated to provide a prolonged release of vitamin C. It contains rosehip as an additional source.
