Niacin Flush-Free by NOW Foods is a high-quality supplement supplementing vitamin B-3 deficiencies, which is essential for maintaining good physical and mental health. Each capsule provides 250 mg of vitamin B-3, or niacin, in the form of inositol hexanicotate. Hexanicotinate is slowly broken down in the body, giving free niacin (6 molecules) and inositol (1 molecule). Vitamin B-3 is produced by the body in very small amounts, hence the need for its supplementation.
Vitamin B-3 contributes to the maintenance of normal energy metabolism. It is involved in the metabolism of carbohydrates, amino acids and fatty acids.
