Technology
Pirelli P Zero summer tires are made from a nanocomposite rubber compound that is designed to provide the best grip and stability. The new compound is lighter than standard, which allowed to reduce rolling resistance, and thus – fuel consumption and exhaust emissions. The new tyre design allowed to increase the contact surface of the tread with the surface. This has a positive effect on grip and braking distance. In addition, it causes the tread to wear evenly. The tread uses wide blocks, whose task is to ensure high precision handling and stability.
Tread
The Pirelli P Zero summer tyres have three wide perimeter grooves designed to remove water from the front of the tyre while driving. There are three ribs on the front of the tire. The rib on the inside is separated by a thin groove from the outer shoulder of the tyre. The pads on the shoulders of the tire are cut with horizontal grooves.

Pirelli has also developed robotic tyre manufacturing plants that are located in many countries around the world.
