DURON Synthetic UHP API CK- 4/SN 5W-40

Petro-Canada DURON UHP multi-season oils are state-of-the-art engine oils for trucks, passenger cars, construction and road machinery that exceed the requirements of the CK-4 API. They are suitable for use in environmentally compliant `07 EPA, low-emission engines equipped with exhaust gas purification devices such as diesel particulate filter (DPF), exhaust gas recirculation system (EGR) and selective catalytic reduction system (SCR). DURON UHP truck engine oils are also suitable for use in engines powered by both high and low sulphur fuels. DURON UHP was constructed on the basis of a unique system of top-class refining additives combined with a patented, synthetic Petro-Canada oil base with 99,9% purity. It is one of the cleanest oil bases in the world. DURON UHP is designed to the highest standards for oils for 4-stroke diesel engines and gas-powered units. It is an ideal solution for extended periods between exchanges.

API CK-4 engine oils are suitable for most engines manufactured before 2017 and replace previous API C classes. They are designed for both road vehicles and off-road applications.

Compared to previous API categories of engine oils, CK-4 (and FA-4) oils show:

• increased resistance to oxidation – which translates into more effective engine protection, fuel efficiency and prolongation of mileage between replacements,

• increased aeration control, which improves the effectiveness of the lubricating film and increases the protection of engine components against abrasion,

• increased shear resistance, which improves the durability of the lubricating film, maintains oil performance in the "like new" state and ensures effective lubrication at the highest loads

DURON UHP 5W-40 oils have CK-4 API as well as SN API.

DURON UHP oils are developed to absorb and effectively disperse significantly more soot than required by the CK-4 API standard – with minimal increase in oil viscosity.
