Founded in 1853 in New York City as part of John D. Rockefeller’s oil company, Swan & Finch has been involved in the manufacture of lubricants since its inception. The popularity of its products on the American market meant that at the beginning of the twentieth century, several product ranges began to be sold in the European subsidiary of the company, including Motul oils. When the company was bought by a French investor in 1932, the products of this brand were already highly valued by European workshops and individual customers. This situation continues to this day – a company that in the 50s. It adopted the name Motul, exports its products to more than 60 countries and supplies them to a number of leading teams in many areas of motorsport. The company also boasts a long tradition of innovation: scientists from Motul research laboratories have managed to develop groundbreaking recipes for automotive consumable fluids several times, including the world’s first semi-synthetic oil. The constant popularity on global markets of Motul products is due to the high quality – the oils used in sports vehicle engines prove their effectiveness, maintaining excellent lubricating properties even in extreme conditions.
