Maximum engine protection

Consumption of cylinder rings and sleeves leads to increased oil consumption and loss of compression, leading to reduced power and increased fuel consumption. Independent testing shows that the Signature Max-Duty 5W30 series provides 6 times more wear protection than required by the Detroit Diesel DD13 Scrubbing Test for the DFS 93K222 specification, providing additional protection so you can hard-earn your diesel engine with confidence.

Viscosity control

Using the highest quality synthetic base oils, Signature Series Max-Duty 5W30 is naturally resistant to oxidation and thickening soot contamination. This, along with reinforced detergent/dispersor additives, keeps suspended soot particles independently, helping to prevent the formation of larger wear-causing particles. The increase in viscosity is minimized and the soot-related wear is controlled. Lower volatility also helps keep Signature Max-Duty series engine oil at the right viscosity for high temperature operation for maximum engine protection and performance.

Perfect for extreme temperatures

Signature Series Max-Duty 5W30 synthetic engine oil is more resistant to thermal decomposition (heat) than conventional and competitive synthetic engine oils. Unlike conventional oils, the Signature Series does not contain wax, maintains fluidity at sub-zero temperatures, which facilitates start-up, improves oil flow and reduces wear.

Minimizes oil consumption

Signature Series Max-Duty 5W30 has low volatility (burnout), which reduces oil consumption during operation and passes fewer oil vapours into the combustion chamber. It provides up to 76 percent less oil consumption than required by the CK-4 API standard in the Caterpillar-1N oil consumption test.

AMSOIL Signature Series Max-Duty 5W30 synthetic oil is compatible with other mineral and synthetic engine oils. However, mixing AMSOIL oils for diesel engines with other oils shortens the life of the oil and reduces the benefits of its use. AMSOIL does not guarantee adequate properties for extended periods when mixing oils.

It is not recommended to use commercially available additives together with synthetic oil AMSOIL for diesel engines.

EXCHANGE

Oil change in diesel engines

Heavy goods vehicles operating under road conditions and construction machinery: three times longer period than recommended by the manufacturer, not more than 100 000 km/ 600 hours or one year, whichever comes first.

Turbocharged trucks: twice the period recommended by the manufacturer, not more than 40 000 km or one year, whichever comes first

The intervals can be further extended based on the results of oil tests.

Note: It is not recommended to extend the intervals between oil changes in engines that have undergone modifications that increase power and torque, and for drives that use biofuels containing more than 10 percent ethanol or more than 15 percent biodiesel (B15), and for Caterpillar 2017-2019 * C13 and C15 vehicles used in road traffic. The use of extended intervals between replacements other than those recommended by the manufacturer is possible only with the use of individual tests of oil samples.
