Provides advanced wear protection

The AMSOIL OE 10W30 synthetic engine oil provides excellent wear control and protects critical engine parts such as pistons and cams. This additional protection is particularly important in the extreme operating conditions of modern engines with a lower displacement, where lower viscosity oil is often used. Consumption of the camshaft can result in poor valve alignment, which significantly reduces engine performance and leads to costly repairs. The Peugeot TU3M (CEC L-38-A-94) wear test, which must be passed to meet the requirements of the GM* dexos1® Gen 2 specification, determines the ability of engine oil to reduce wear. For 100 hours, the four-cylinder test engine is subjected to extreme wear conditions. AMSOIL OE 0W20 Motor Oil provided 47 percent more wear protection1 than required by the GM dexos1 Gen 2 specification.

Protection of pistons against premature ignition at low speeds

AMSOIL OE 10W30 synthetic engine oil contains unique chemical components that protect the engine from the harmful effects of premature ignition at low speeds (LSPI). LSPI is the spontaneous ignition of the fuel-air mixture before spark ignition. Most new engines have direct petrol injection (GDI), often combined with a turbocharger. These technologies increase the likelihood of LSPI events that can destroy pistons and connecting rods. Properly selected engine oil is crucial for protecting the engine from LSPI.

Original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), such as GM, have addressed this problem by developing tests to determine the ability of engine oil to prevent LSPI. Synthetic engine oil AMSOIL OE 10W30 achieved 100% protection against LSPI2 in the engine test required by the GM dexos1 Gen 2 specification - no events were reported in five consecutive tests.

AMSOIL OE 10W30 synthetic engine oil is licensed by the American Petroleum Institute (API) to meet and exceed the requirements commonly stated in vehicle operating instructions. It performs perfectly in fuel consumption tests, thanks to which it obtained an additional "Resource Conserving" designation assigned by the API. AMSOIL OE 10W30 (OEZ) synthetic engine oil should be used in applications that require any of the following specifications:

COMPATIBILITY

AMSOIL OE 10W30 synthetic engine oil is compatible with other synthetic and conventional engine oils. However, the addition of other oils will shorten the life expectancy of AMSOIL engine oils and reduce their performance benefits. AMSOIL does not guarantee extended intervals between replacements when oils have been mixed.

It is not recommended to use aftermarket oil additives with synthetic engine oil AMSOIL OE 10W30.

SERVICE LIFE

For petrol-powered vehicles, AMSOIL OE Synthetic Motor Oil is recommended for use during the periods specified by the vehicle manufacturer or indicated by the oil life monitoring system. The oil filter should be changed every time the oil is changed.
