AMSOIL 5W40 OE Synthetic Motor Oil is designed for mechanics and drivers looking for peace of mind and special value in synthetic engine oil. It provides 100 percent synthetic engine protection for advanced automotive technologies, including turbochargers and direct injection. OE has been specially developed for longer periods between replacements recommended by original equipment manufacturers (OE).

AMSOIL 5W40 OE Synthetic Motor Oil provides excellent wear control and protects critical engine parts such as pistons and cams. This additional protection is particularly important in the extreme operating conditions created by today’s lower-capacity engines, which often work with lower-viscosity synthetic oil. Camshaft wear can result in incorrect operation of valve timings, significantly reducing engine efficiency and leading to costly repairs. The Peugeot TU3M (CEC L-38-A-94) wear test, which must be passed to meet the requirements of the GM* dexos1® Gen 2 specification, determines the ability of engine oil to reduce wear. For 100 hours, the four-cylinder test engine is subjected to extreme conditions, causing wear and tear. LSPI stands for self-ignition of the fuel-air mixture before starting the ignition. These technologies increase the possibility of LSPI phenomena that can destroy pistons and connecting rods. Properly developed engine oil is crucial for protecting the engine from LSPI.
